MONTANA-CANS X HAPPY SOCKS – Freedom of expression and creativity is the common thread!

[dropcap size=big]M[/dropcap]ONTANA-CANS came to being from humble beginnings in Heidelberg, Germany, back in 1995. It didn’t take long before a small collective of street artist turned the garage based business into an international power player, creating meticulously tested quality spray paint and graffiti art making tools for the world. Not too far away across the water in Stockholm, in April 2008, the playful pioneer of colorful socks and underwear HAPPY SOCKS, was coming to being. The team at HAPPY SOCKS were  busy transferring the sock, which was often considered an unworthy piece of clothing for creativity, into a designer canvas of endless possibilities. 10 Years later, HAPPY SOCKS are available in 95 countries all over the world turning the ignored every day essential, into an aesthetic, appreciated piece of every attire.

Both teams determined to make the world a more colorful place. And to celebrate this notion, they have collaborated on 2 pairs of limited edition cotton, athletic socks. Both pairs feature graffiti inspired designs including mini spray cans and paint drip patterns.

To capture this collabo and give it the positivity it deserves, they called on the lens of none other then “The Grifters” founder, Good Guy Boris. Meeting up in the German graffiti mecca of Hamburg, the unrestrained, creativity charged shoot, managed to capture the true essence of the fast paced graffiti world. Showcasing the potential of athletic socks as a streetwear accessory.
